17th Seeon Conference Registration (click here for registration)

The steering committee of the “Microbiota, Probiotics and Host”- group warmly invites you to participate in the 17th Seeon Conference, taking place June 26th to June 28th, 2025, in the setting of the monastery of Seeon at the Chiem Lake.

This year, instead of the 1-day Summer School before the conference, we will feature mentoring sessions with our invited speakers. These sessions will be limited to young early-career students (Ph. D.s and PostDocs), so register and submit your abstract quickly to increase your chances of a one-on-one mentoring session.

The preliminary agenda can be found at the beginning of February here.

We look forward to our keynote speakers:

  • John Penders (Maastricht University, Netherlands)
  • Marco Prinz (University of Freiburg, Germany): How the gut shapes the CNS immune system
  • Reetta Satokari (University Helsinki, Finland): From fecal microbiota transplantation to bacteriotherapy
  • Wolf-Dietrich Hardt (ETH Zürich, Switzerland): Gut, sweet home

And we are excited to hear from rising stars on their hot topics:

  • David Riglar (Imperial College London, United Kingdom): Engineering bacteria to eavesdrop on the elusive signals of host health and disease
  • Lukas Mager (University Hospital Tübingen, Germany): Developing microbiome-based precision therapy in inflammatory bowel disease
  • Natalia Torow (Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research, Braunschweig, Germany): Hepatic T Cell Homeostasis: The liver as a hub for microbial and self tolerance in neonates
